Detroit woman charged for allegedly shooting, killing younger brother

A Detroit woman has been charged in a case where police say she shot and killed her younger brother.
Chinasia Eliza-Yvonna Williams, 22, is accused of killing her brother, Chance Williams, 14, after pointing a gun at his head and pulling the trigger. According to authorities, the incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. on June 16 at a home on Mettetal Street, after she removed a magazine from the handgun.
But there was a single bullet left in the chamber, authorities said.
Chance Williams was taken to a local hospital after being shot, police said, where he was pronounced dead.
Williams is charged with one count of involuntary manslaughter and manslaughter-death by a weapon aimed with intent but without malice, police said.
Williams was arraigned in 36th District Court Friday and is being held on a $75,000 personal bond. The probable cause conference is scheduled for July 2 and the preliminary examination will take place July 9.
